The mayor of Arrecife, Cándido Reguera, and the councilor for Youth, Joel Delgado, presented this Monday the First Festival of Young Promises of Song "Puerto de Arrecife", which will be held in the Ramírez Cerdá park and will feature the participation of 10 finalists from Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Their performances will be accompanied by an orchestra.
"It is a magnificent initiative that we want to consolidate in Arrecife," said Reguera, who explained that the performers from Lanzarote are the finalists of the various festivals that have been held in the neighborhoods of the municipality. The winner will directly represent Spain in the Miami Song Festival.
During the presentation of the First Festival of Young Promises of Song "Puerto del Arrecife", the mayor encouraged citizens to come this Friday, December 9, starting at 9:00 p.m., to the Ramírez Cerdá park. "With a small budget, live music and excellent voices, I am sure that this I Festival will be a success," he said.
For his part, the councilor for Youth, Joel Delgado, said that the objective of the Council was "to favorably encourage all these young people who are dedicated to singing in Lanzarote, opening doors from the different corporations."
Also present at the press conference were the president of the ARTILANZ youth association, Juanjo López, and the person in charge of the musicians, Acorán Ramos. Thus, Juanjo López has announced that this festival will feature various guest artists, such as the Fashion School Dance School, the Strem Up dancers and the Lanzarote Got Talent musical group.
In addition, the president of ARTILANZ has highlighted that the jury will be made up of, among others, the well-known singer from Operación Triunfo (OT), Saray Ramírez from Fuerteventura, as well as the composer José Juan Santana from Gran Canaria, who will be responsible for composing the song that will represent Spain in the Miami Song Festival.
