Aemet extends the yellow warning for coastal phenomena and wind in Lanzarote until Sunday

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has extended the yellow warning for coastal phenomena and wind in Lanzarote until Sunday. The swell alert will be present on the island throughout Sunday, from 00.00 hours to 23.59 hours of the day. As already announced in La Voz, the warning will begin this Saturday, February 24.

For Sunday, the probability of risk due to coastal phenomena is greater than 70% and the combined sea from the north from 4 to 5 meters, Aemet has predicted.

In addition, the wind will blow strongly on the island with maximum gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour. The risk of strong wind will have a probability of between 40 and 70%. According to Aemet, it will mainly affect the interior and southern half of Lanzarote.
