A British tourist couple has been indignant after sitting down to eat at a restaurant in Lanzarote. On January 20, when they were on vacation, they wanted to try some seafood in a local restaurant in the south of the island. Their surprise came when they brought them the bill. "They ruined our romantic dinner when they saw the astronomical bill," they both revealed on social networks, as the British newspaper TheSun has echoed.

Dean Cadywould, 55, and his wife Kerry, 47, ordered five "prawns" for dinner, for which they had to pay a bill of "more than 100 euros", they said on their social networks. It was a total of 125 euros (£116) that they had to pay for the food. "Wow, I'm furious, we've been ripped off," the man added. Although the couple calls them prawns, they could be scarlet shrimp from La Santa, a typical seafood from Lanzarote.

Some tourists who have been visiting Lanzarote for ten years, but on their last vacation they have had a bittersweet experience. They ordered the "prawns" that are his "wife's favorites" and say they were surprised when the waiter arrived at their table with nothing more than five prawns and some potatoes. "Their specialty was prawns... they served us five prawns with a portion of Canarian potatoes... ¡¡125 euros just for that!!," the man shows angrily.
