A boat was rescued at dawn north of Órzola

A boat carrying 53 people of sub-Saharan origin was rescued, two women have been transferred to Molina Orosa

Maritime Rescue has rescued a boat near the coast of Lanzarote in the early morning, specifically 7.4 kilometers north of Órzola, transferring its occupants to the Commercial dock of Arrecife.

According to the Security and Emergency Consortium, there were 53 people on board, all of them of sub-Saharan origin.

The Red Cross has assisted the occupants of the boat, 44 men and 9 women, and has transferred two of them to Molina Orosa for different pathologies.
