The Tenerife-based humor company Abubukaka has made a video about the water emergency in Lanzarote through humor and parody. It parodies the situation of the continuous water cuts to homes by the company Canal Gestión and how it pushes the population to take desperate measures.

The video begins with the image of a hotel in the middle of a natural landscape where an island resident goes to try to book a room for hours, something the hotel denies because they only book for nights.

The reason for wanting to stay at the hotel is just to take a shower, since they don't have water at home due to the continuous almost daily cuts in the water supply in Lanzarote. However, hotel complexes and tourist resorts do have water always, so the cuts do not affect them.

Finally, the resident ends up paying for a night's room simply to be able to shower and wash. All this in a video in the form of a parody that reflects the reality experienced by the residents of Lanzarote where up to 37 towns have been without water.
