The General Corps of the Canary Police has detected and reported several irregularities in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, such as the storage of hazardous waste without authorization or the detection of uncontrolled dumping points, mainly of materials derived from construction.
The Canary Police, which collaborates with the Canary Agency for the Protection of the Natural Environment (APMUN) in the control of waste on the islands, has traveled to the islands to carry out inspections to verify the correct compliance with the regulations in different facilities.
The latest trip of the GRUMA has been to the islands of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, the police force detailed this Wednesday in a statement.
The Administrative Surveillance and Inspection Unit has among its functions the preventive police action, investigation and reporting of administrative infractions in the areas of, among others, environment and natural resources.
