A 21-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were injured this Monday afternoon in a traffic accident. The event occurred on Brezo del Mar street in Caleta de Famara, when two cars collided. The two injured people have suffered various contusions, in both cases of a minor nature, and have been transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.

The Coordinating Center for Security and Emergencies received notice of the accident at 3:05 p.m. that two vehicles had collided on that street. Upon arriving at the area, the medical personnel of the SUC ambulance attended to these two affected people. After an initial assessment at the scene, both were transferred to the hospital.

Due to the collision, one of the vehicles ended up impacting against a small wall on that street, which broke as a consequence of the blow. The firefighters were in charge of cleaning the road and, for safety, they also removed the battery from that vehicle.
