Two immigrants who may have been hiding in the northern part of La Graciosa have been located by a neighbor early this Tuesday afternoon. The number of occupants of the boat that arrived this Monday on the eighth Canary Island now amounts to 21, although they themselves reported that up to 27 people were traveling in the boat, so there could still be several missing.
The councilor delegate of La Graciosa, Alicia Páez, explained to La Voz that the immigrants were located by a neighbor at 3:30 p.m., in the area of the Los Conejeros ravine, before reaching Pedro Barba. "On that road, there is the Las Caletas area, which has small beaches. They were coming from that area, because apparently they had hidden in the northern area", the mayor pointed out.
The neighbor found them walking in the direction of the town of Caleta de Sebo and called Páez, who notified the local police of La Graciosa. This agent has traveled to the area, accompanied by a security guard and a maintenance worker from the City Council.

"There were two immigrants and they were carrying backpacks. They had changed, they were wearing clean clothes and perhaps they were planning to leave the island on the 4:00 p.m. boat", explained Páez. Finally, they took this boat, but together with the local police officer, who handed the two immigrants over to the Civil Guard in the port of Órzola, in Lanzarote.
The two immigrants located, according to Páez, were of legal age and in good health. "One of them spoke very good Spanish", said Páez. Another of the immigrants managed to flee the island this Monday, on one of the boats that connect La Graciosa with Lanzarote. "It was rumored that he was the captain, because he spoke Spanish, was well dressed and had money, he had euros. But the one who has been located this Tuesday also speaks very good Spanish", said Páez.
