The National Police have arrested in Arrecife two minors, aged 15 and 17, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation in an attempted degree during the Carnival celebration. The minors gave "punches and kicks" to another minor and tried to snatch his mobile phone, explains the police force. The assaulted young man was assisted in a medical center for various bruises and contractures.

The police intervention began when a friend of the victim required several agents who were serving in the carnival device. The girl told them how "several young men hit her friend with punches and kicks, to steal his mobile phone", says the Police. The assaulted young man fled the scene and took refuge in a health vehicle, where he remained until the arrival of the agents, who provided characteristics of the perpetrators.

"After conducting an exhaustive search", those responsible were located "in the vicinity" and arrested as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation in an attempted degree, they explain.

Once the corresponding police report was instructed, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the Prosecutor's Office for Minors. The police intervention was carried out by members of the Local Citizen Security Brigade of the Arrecife Police Station.
