Two people have been slightly injured after suffering smoke poisoning in a fire at the Blue Bay Hotel in Costa Teguise. The fire broke out in a sauna of the Spa at around 2:53 p.m. this Thursday, as reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security-112 (CECOES).
Firefighters from the Emergency Consortium, agents of the Local Police and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service have traveled to the scene. The paramedics have assisted the two injured and have later been transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The firefighters have disconnected the light lever and have deployed hoses to extinguish the fire, which has been extinguished with water. Due to the intense heat generated, the agents have had to enter several times, according to the Consortium. Subsequently, the fan has been applied to release the thermal load and the gases accumulated in the room,
