National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested G.V.R., 22 years old, Spanish nationality, three police records and S.L., 20 years old, Moroccan nationality, with no police records as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force in the degree of attempt. A citizen surprised the arrested men forcing the access door to a shoe store and called 091.
The events unfolded in the early hours of the morning, after a citizen called 091 reporting that he was watching two men forcing the access door to a shoe store in Arrecife.
Police officers on duty immediately went to the scene and intercepted two men with similar physical characteristics to those provided by the witness next to the store. In the security check to which they were subjected, they were found to be carrying two wires and a metallic spike.
The officers were also able to verify that the lock on the access door to the establishment showed clear signs of having been forced, so they proceeded to arrest both as alleged perpetrators of a robbery with force in the degree of attempt.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainees were brought before the competent Judicial Authority, who ordered their release with charges.
The police intervention was carried out by agents of the Arrecife Police Station.
