Two hikers who had activated a search device appear at the hotel

The couple had gone cycling in the Los Ajaches area and had called to report that they were "lost and exhausted"....

The couple of hikers lost in the Los Parrados ravine area in the municipality of Yaiza have appeared in perfect condition at the hotel where they were staying.

It is a 48-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman who had telephoned the bicycle rental company to say that they were disoriented and exhausted by the heat. This notice took place at 4:55 p.m. and quickly, from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands, the search device was activated.

Agents of the Local Police of Yaiza, the Civil Guard, Civil Protection and firefighters of the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium have participated in the rescue efforts. In addition, the GES helicopter has joined the search tasks.

Finally, at around 8:00 p.m., the search was suspended after announcing that the hikers had appeared at the hotel in perfect health.
