Two women were arrested and sent to prison for the fire with three injured that took place in the early hours of last Wednesday in a house on Blas Cabrera Topham street in Arrecife. As confirmed by the TSJC, the detainees testified before the judge of the Court of Instruction number 3 of Arrecife, who ordered their provisional imprisonment for three crimes of injury and one of arson with risk to the life or integrity of people.

After her arrest, one of the detainees requested "habeas corpus", a procedure that can be used by people who consider that they have been arrested erroneously or illegally in order to be released. However, her request was denied by the judge.

Also, although the National Police continues without providing any information about the investigation, the TSJC has confirmed that they are waiting to carry out two more arrests, in this case of two men, also for their alleged participation in the fire.

It must be remembered that the fire occurred in a house inhabited by squatters where, according to local residents, discussions had been taking place. As a result of the same, three men were injured, who were evacuated to the Molina Orosa Hospital.

One of the injured was admitted in critical condition with multiple burns and was transferred to the Burn Unit of the Hospital La Paz in Madrid one day after the events, while a second, who suffered third-degree burns to his legs, was admitted to the ICU of the Molina Orosa Hospital, where on Friday he was "stable", according to health sources. The third person affected also had injuries to his legs but they were minor.
