A traffic accident involving two vehicles caused one of them to catch fire in the early hours of this Wednesday, December 31, on the LZ-30 road, at the entrance near the Teleclub of Masdache, in the municipality of Tías.
According to the Consortium of Security and Emergencies, the alert was received at 0:31 hours after being notified by the Local Police of Tías that one of the vehicles was on fire. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, and upon their arrival, they found the Local Police and Civil Protection already present. Subsequently, the Civil Guard and an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) joined them.
The occupants of both vehicles were outside of them at the time of the intervention, with only one of them being attended to by health services. The firefighters proceeded to extinguish the fire and cordon off the vehicles, which had ended up off the road in an area of difficult access, making their removal difficult.
