The National Police have arrested and brought to justice, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health (for drug trafficking), Raúl M.L., 18 years old, native of Fuerteventura and resident of Costa Teguise, and Joseph R., of Irish nationality and resident of Costa Teguise.
A police statement explains that the arrest was carried out in an area near Puerto Naos, when police officers from the Local Citizen Security Brigade of the Arrecife Police Station were carrying out citizen security prevention work.
The agents surprised the two young men in a vigilant attitude in a dark area. When the police patrol approached, the two mentioned men started fleeing running, but were intercepted after a chase and, upon being arrested, the officers seized, in the possession of one of them, two pieces of hashish that weighed a total of 500 grams.
