National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested three men, aged 45, 35 and 31, all with numerous police records, as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of robbery with violence, threats and illegal detention.

The events unfolded when a man went to the National Police Station in Arrecife reporting that he had just fled from a house where three individuals were holding him against his will under threats in order to steal the 500 euros from his pension.

The victim told the agents that he was a habitual drug user, so he went to a house in Arrecife where, apparently, drugs are usually consumed inside.

After knocking on the door, three men opened it for him, who, once inside, began to beat him, tying his hands and legs against his will.

The individuals forced the victim to go to his home to give them the 500 euros he had just received from his pension. In a moment of distraction by one of them, the victim was able to flee and immediately go to the National Police Station.

A police investigation was thus initiated in which the agents were able to locate, identify and arrest the three alleged perpetrators of the events for the crimes of robbery with violence, threats and illegal detention.

After drawing up the corresponding police report, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.

The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station.
