Officers of the Local Police of Tías proceeded in the early morning of the 24th of this month to the arrest of two people, natives of Arrecife, and a minor, native of Las Palmas, accused of an alleged crime of robbery with force in a house in Puerto del Carmen. Three days after being released pending trial, the three were arrested again, this time accused of another robbery in an apartment complex.
The first event took place in a private house in the tourist town. A neighbor heard noises inside the property and alerted the Police, as he knew that its residents were away from the island. In this way, the agents managed to arrest the alleged thieves in flagrante delicto inside the house.
The detainees, according to the police report, had accessed the house after allegedly forcing a window. When the police surprised the alleged thieves, they had "prepared to take out of the house four bags, with numerous items of clothing and footwear, small appliances and tools."
According to the police, the arrested intended to transport all their objects in a Renault Clio vehicle, which they had parked in the vicinity. The car was immobilized and made available to the judicial authority, since the agents also found "numerous objects inside." Therefore, the police believe that "they could be the result of other criminal acts," so they continue to carry out the appropriate steps to determine the origin of this material.
The arrested, who respond to the initials of A.C.R., C.V.M. and L.O.M, were brought to justice, being released with charges, with the exception of the minor, who was also released, but now will have to be summoned by the Prosecutor's Office for Minors.
Detained, again
In addition, two days after they were arrested and released by the Court, the Civil Guard, in collaboration with the Local Police, proceeded to arrest these three people again, accused of another robbery with force in an apartment complex in Puerto del Carmen.
According to the police report, "after forcing access to an apartment, they stole a camera and a mobile phone."
