Firefighters attended this Saturday to a fire in a vehicle in an underground car park on Tindaya street in the Titerroy neighborhood, in Arrecife, according to the Emergency Consortium.

After being alerted by CECOES, the personnel went to the site, although upon arrival only smoke was observed. Upon their arrival, they confirmed that the basement was full of smoke, so they instructed the residents to evacuate the car park.

One of them informed the firefighters about which vehicle it was, where the fire had originated, and that two CO₂ extinguishers had been used to put it out.

They proceeded to ventilate the premises using an electric fan and, during the assessment, observed that part of the electrical wiring, located in the engine area behind the air filter, was affected.

Likewise, they proceeded to disconnect the vehicle's battery. For their part, agents of the National Police and the Local Police carried out the necessary proceedings.

The personnel informed the vehicle's owner that the car must be inspected by a mechanic and that the battery should not be connected for safety reasons.
