The Civil Guard has already managed to identify the woman who appeared drowned last Sunday in Playa Grande in Puerto del Carmen. She is a 41-year-old Irish woman who was on the island with her parents.

A day after recovering her body, the identity of this woman was still unknown, as no documentation was found in the vicinity and there were no reports of her disappearance. Finally, last Monday the deceased was fingerprinted, which confirmed her identity.

The Civil Guard has confirmed again that the woman "showed no symptoms of violent death" and that the cause of death was drowning.
