The wind caused a 50-meter-long telephone cable to be left hanging on public roads in Arrecife this Monday. Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium moved at night to the area near the Siglo XXI building, in the capital of Lanzarote.
The emergency teams arrived in the area and were able to observe that the cable had come loose from one of its supports. The rope had been hanging from the facade of the Betancores warehouse to a wooden pole located near the Siglo XXI building. With the help of a ladder truck, the firefighters stretched the cable and attached it to the facade of the warehouse with flanges, they explained.
In addition, the Local Police of Arrecife moved to the place to control that no accident occurred.
