The National Police is investigating a robbery and assault on a man that took place last Saturday, July 22, on Calle La Inés in Arrecife. Due to these events, the victim, who has a 65% disability, had to be transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital after presenting a wound on the upper part of his lip, for which he received several stitches.

According to the complaint filed by the victim with the National Police, he was at 04:00 on Friday in a bar on Calle La Inés in the capital "drinking beers with five people, whom he did not know at all" but who, according to the complainant, "were of Dominican origin". Once the premises closed, everyone left and, being already on the street, several of these people took his wallet, 40 euros that he had in it and his mobile phone.

"At the moment when I insisted twice that they please return my mobile, they punched me and broke my lip," the victim explained to La Voz. A blow for which, according to the complaint, "he fell to the ground", but "did not lose consciousness". The aggressors "left him lying on the ground, running away from the place".

Several police units arrived at the scene, who requested an ambulance to assist the victim, being transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife, where they treated the wound on his lip. Subsequently, the man went to the police station to file the complaint.
