National Police agents have come to the Arrecife Town Hall this Thursday to gather initial data following the complaint filed by the municipal auditor, who claims to have been assaulted in his office by another Town Hall worker.
Although police sources have indicated that they cannot provide information about these inquiries, various witnesses have confirmed to La Voz that the agents have been at the Town Hall, where they have asked about both the complainant and the accused, to confirm that they are indeed municipal employees.
However, so far there is no record that they have taken a statement from the worker accused of assault, who is a technician in the Housing area and could be summoned to the police station if the agents deem it necessary to interrogate him.
Meanwhile, the auditor has not come to the Town Hall this Thursday either, as he filed a leave on Wednesday after the episode experienced the day before in his office. According to witnesses, it all started with a heated argument, with shouts from the accused worker, although there are different versions as to whether there was a physical assault. Thus, some claim that he even "raised his hand" to the auditor and others indicate that there was even "a push".
