National Police agents have arrested C.D.H.V., a 43-year-old woman with a long criminal record, in the municipality of Arrecife as the alleged perpetrator of a fraud. The arrested woman, who has been arrested three times in a month for various crimes against property, stole a man's bank card and withdrew 500 euros from an ATM.
The events unfolded after a man reported that the previous night he had gone to withdraw 100 euros from an ATM accompanied by an acquaintance. The next day, the man went to his bank, where he was able to verify that the previous night another 500 euros had been withdrawn from his current account at the same ATM.
Police investigations revealed that the man's companion had stolen his bank card in an oversight, and then went to the ATM in question and withdrew the money. The woman, who had already been arrested twice in a month for crimes against property, was arrested again as the alleged perpetrator of a fraud.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station.
