 The National Police have arrested M.J. at the Lanzarote Airport, a 30-year-old man from Poland with no police record, as he had a current international arrest warrant from the authorities of his country for drug possession.

The events took place when agents carrying out a security check at the airport proceeded to identify an individual of Polish nationality, as reported by the Superior Headquarters of the Canary Islands Police. Thus, the police officers were able to verify that there was a current international request from the authorities of Poland, the cause being drug possession, so they proceeded to arrest him.

After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
