The motorcyclist who appeared in a video doing 'wheelies' at full speed on the Arrecife ring road will testify this Wednesday in court. The Local Police and the Civil Guard had been looking for this motorcyclist and the driver of a car since last week, after a video was released in which they were seen exceeding the speed limits, overtaking with their vehicles and, in the case of the motorcycle, driving on one wheel.

The two police forces were looking for them because the events in the images could constitute a crime against road safety due to reckless driving. A week later, the motorcyclist has already been identified by the Local Police, although the City Council has not wanted to confirm the news or provide more information about it. According to La Voz has learned through sources close to the investigation, the young man has not been arrested, but he has been read his rights and has been summoned for this Wednesday in court.

The Spanish Penal Code establishes for this type of crime against road safety, "when the life or integrity of persons has not been specifically endangered", prison sentences of one to two years, a fine of six to twelve months and deprivation of the right to drive vehicles and mopeds for a period of 6 to 10 years.
