The driver of the car that crashed into a wall and another vehicle in Mancha Blanca last Friday is hospitalized, as confirmed by the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín.
In statements on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero, the mayor explained that the affected is a young boy from the municipality, who had suffered an "intoxication" from a medication he had taken. "The poor guy didn't know where he was," Machín said.
According to him, in addition to crashing into a wall and another vehicle, the car he was driving also hit a lamppost. "Fortunately, I think the Virgin protected him," he added, celebrating that the accident was not more serious. "The important thing is that no one was run over, nothing happened," said Machín, who, after the incident, located his parents and inquired about the young man's health. "I feel very sorry," he said, pointing out that the parents were very affected.
Likewise, the mayor of Tinajo explained that it was residents of Mancha Blanca who first helped the young man. "First, the residents were the ones who tried to help him," he indicated, adding that he was later attended by the Local Police and an ambulance that went to the area.
