The Civil Guard is working to identify the woman who died this Saturday in Playa Grande (Puerto del Carmen) and who was taken out of the sea by the bathers themselves after they found her floating in the water. According to sources from the Civil Guard, it would be a tourist of Central European or Nordic features, with an age between 30 and 40 years old, whose body "showed no symptoms of violent death"; so it is confirmed that it was due to drowning.

The Civil Guard has indicated that the woman's documentation was not found in the vicinity of the beach and that, if no data is collected in the next few hours, this Monday "the coroner will take the fingerprints" of the deceased to be able to identify her and carry out the relevant procedures.

According to witnesses, the woman arrived at the beach accompanied by a man, who was talking to her from the shore before leaving the beach while she was still in the water. Bathers have also confirmed to the Civil Guard that "there was no discussion" between them.
