The Civil Guard arrests the same person twice for robberies in Playa Blanca

The agents surprised him when he was breaking the window of a tourist villa and days later he was arrested again for a robbery with force that occurred in the same complex?

October 24 2013 (13:01 WEST)

The Civil Guard arrested on October 11 a person, as the alleged perpetrator of different crimes against property. The agents initiated a surveillance device around the hospitality establishments in the town of Playa Blanca after verifying an "increase in robberies" in these businesses, as reported through a statement.

During this device, the agents managed to arrest the same person twice on different days for crimes against property. The alleged perpetrator of the events, F.J.M.V., a resident of the island, has numerous police records referring to crimes against property, according to the Civil Guard.

The first of the arrests, which occurred on the 11th of this month, occurred after being caught breaking a window of a tourist villa, to supposedly access its interior. Moments later he was arrested by the agents after a chase through a ravine near the hotel complex in question.

The second arrest occurred on the 19th of this month, when F.J.M.V. was arrested again, in collaboration with the Local Police of Yaiza, as a result of a robbery with force that occurred in the same tourist complex on October 13.

The consequent police investigations led to the identification and arrest of F.J.M.V. as the alleged perpetrator of the robbery with force that occurred that day 13. F.J.M.V. is charged with two crimes of robbery with force, one of them in the degree of attempt, specifically the one committed on the 11th. The Civil Guard does not rule out that he will be charged with more crimes of robbery with force in the area, as other events present the same characteristics for which F.J.M.V. was arrested.

The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Court on duty in the town of Arrecife.
