The Civil Guard arrested a resident of San Bartolomé last Monday as the alleged perpetrator of a supposed crime of robbery with force inside a home, from where he allegedly took jewelry valued at more than 12,000 euros. The arrested person responds to the initials J.F.F.P. and is of Spanish nationality.

The robbery took place two weeks ago in a terraced house, "duplex type", in San Bartolomé. After the complaint was filed on May 23 at the Civil Guard barracks in that town, the agents went to the scene and carried out "the corresponding technical-ocular inspection." There, they verified that the perpetrator of the robbery, after breaking one of the windows of the house, accessed the interior taking 19 pieces of jewelry and watches, including gold rings, gold and diamond earrings, a white gold bracelet, a gold pendant and two watches, with an estimated value of about 12,000 euros.

The Civil Guard, which had the collaboration of the Local Police of the municipality, initiated several lines of investigation to clarify the facts, including the declaration of several witnesses. This led to the location and recovery of a part of the stolen jewelry, on May 24 and 27, in the town of Arrecife.

In addition, they managed to identify the alleged perpetrator of the robbery, who was arrested last Monday, the 1st. The arrested person, according to the Civil Guard, already had "numerous police records." Now, he has been placed at the disposal of the Arrecife Duty Court.
