Members of the Investigation Group of the Civil Guard of the Tías Post, in collaboration with agents of the Local Police of the municipality, arrested a total of seven people during the past month of July, for their alleged participation in various crimes.
The first arrest occurred on July 3. The detainee, a 20-year-old British man who responds to the initials T.E., is accused of a crime of injury, for causing a fracture of the nasal septum to a compatriot of his in the course of a fight between them.
On the 15th, O.S.U.R., a native of Colombia, and C.D.M.C, a native of Arrecife, were arrested, both accused of a crime of robbery with violence, by the procedure of snatching, to a British tourist who was walking along the Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen.
Three days later, J.G.C., a native of Arrecife, was arrested, accused of a crime of theft and two misdemeanors of theft, for the repeated removal of copper cabling from the electricity grid in the town of Mácher, with the repair and the price of the stolen copper amounting to more than 7,000 euros.
In addition, on the 20th, A.B. and E.B.E.J, both natives of Morocco, were arrested, accused of a crime of theft, which occurred in the beach area of Puerto del Carmen. Supposedly, the detainees, in the early hours of the morning, took advantage of a tourist's carelessness who was bathing at that time, to steal his belongings. Among them, an iPhone IV mobile phone, valued at 600 euros.
Finally, on July 25, S.K.H., a native of Germany, was arrested, accused of simulating a crime. The woman filed a complaint for the theft of an iPhone IV phone valued at 600 euros, but, according to the Police, the detainee still had the phone in her possession.
All the accused were brought to justice after the instruction of the corresponding proceedings.
