A male, whose age is unknown and of Moroccan origin, has been seriously injured after suffering a knife attack on Manolo Millares street, in Arrecife, according to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred last night, around 00.35 hours, when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert reporting a fight, with about six people involved. Minutes later, another alert was received indicating that a male had been injured with a knife and was unconscious.
Once on the scene, SUC personnel provided initial assistance to the affected person and, after stabilizing him, proceeded to transfer him in a medicalized ambulance to the Dr. José Molina Orosa Hospital, presenting knife wounds at the height of the thorax and abdomen of a serious nature.
From the 1-1-2 emergency room, the coordinating doctor on duty contacted the Hospital to inform them about the transfer of this patient, so upon arrival at the health center, the affected person entered the operating room directly.
The Local Police also intervened at the scene, facilitating access to health and security services, and the National Police, who instructed the corresponding procedures.
