Firefighters from the Emergency Consortium, Civil Protection of Tías and volunteer firefighters from Lanzarote went this Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. to the Tías Municipal Theater due to a possible fire in the place.
The reason was the smoke and the smell of burning that came out of the facilities, although there were no flames. When the troops arrived at the scene, the Local Police were there. Volunteer firefighters from Lanzarote also attended, coordinating with those from the Consortium.
The theater operator informed them that there was a lot of smoke but that it had dissipated. The troops inspected the area and the false ceiling to find out where the smoke came from. According to volunteer firefighters, the smoke came from some cables that had heated up.
Fire in the vegetation
This Thursday the firefighters also went to a fire in the vegetation in the median of the LZ-2, in front of the El Cable gas station, at 12:40 p.m. Upon arrival, the troops verified that there was smoke, although finally the little fire was extinguished because the few stubble that was there burned.
