Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium rescued a woman this past Saturday afternoon who was trapped under a boat in La Graciosa.
The incident took place on the slipway ramp of the teleclub, in the town of Caleta de Sebo.
The firefighters were alerted directly by a woman who knocked on the park's door at around 4:20 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, they found her face down, under the boat, but not trapped by it.
A nurse was already at the scene talking to her and assessing her condition.
The firefighters alerted the health services of La Graciosa while attending to the injured woman and preparing the extraction maneuver. While the service paramedics were arriving, a doctor who was in the area came and assessed the woman again.
Once the health services arrived, they placed the woman on a spinal board and transferred her to the ambulance stretcher.
Subsequently, they moved to the dock to help the paramedics in the transfer of the injured woman from the ambulance to the ferry that transferred her to Lanzarote.
