The Tías City Council has closed Playa Chica to swimming at 11:00 a.m. this Thursday due to the presence of bacteria in the water, as reported by the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium.
The closure occurred after routine analyses to determine the water quality of this Puerto del Carmen beach tested positive for contamination.
