Agents of the National Police and members of the Citizen Security Unit (USCI) of the Local Police of Arrecife have carried out this Thursday an operation in a cannabis club located on Augusto Lorenzo street in Arrecife, on the corner with Quevedo street.
Although no information has been provided by any of the police forces so far, La Voz has been able to verify how the agents searched the premises and took out three glass jars containing different substances from inside.

Neighbors in the area have also conveyed their complaints to La Voz about the smell coming from the cannabis club, stating that "it was about time" for the Police to act.
Several cannabis clubs raided in the last year
This is not the first police operation carried out against a cannabis club in the capital. In fact, a week ago, the Civil Guard dismantled a marijuana plantation and also seized 27 kilos of this drug ready for consumption in a garage belonging to a cannabis association in Arrecife, resulting in three people being investigated.

Also, last March, agents of the National Police and the USCI of the Local Police carried out a search in a cannabis club located on La Inés street, which resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old woman and the seizure of 3,130 grams and 18 marijuana plants, 45 grams of hashish and 2,155 euros in cash.

Also last year, there was an intervention in different cannabis associations in Arrecife, one of them 'La Oveja Verde', located on Peñas del Chache street, in an operation that took place in May and that resulted in four arrests for an alleged crime against public health and with the seizure of various amounts of hashish and marijuana. Also, in October of last year, the arrest of two men for selling drugs in another cannabis association in Arrecife was reported, in which 4,900 grams of marijuana, 97 grams of hashish and 950 euros in cash were seized.
