Aena has stated that the problem has only generated "some waiting" in the counter queues when checking in.

The failure in the computer system that has affected the Aena network has caused this Friday "small delays" at the Lanzarote Airport. According to Aena sources speaking to La Voz, these are delays that do not reach "two hours", so "it would not seriously affect" the airport.

The company in charge of managing the airports has stated that the problem has only generated "some waiting" in the counter queues when checking in. "They have to do the check-in manually and the process takes a little longer," they reported. Although they make it clear that it "doesn't mean anything worrying."

On its official X (formerly Twitter) account, Aena has stressed that "we are working to solve it as soon as possible", to reassure passengers who plan to travel this Friday.

In the rest of the islands, the Gran Canaria and Tenerife Norte Airports have been more affected by the failure in the computer system. Passengers who expected to travel this Friday as normal have been surprised by the long queues and delays in checking in their luggage. In addition, the situation has also harmed travelers at the Airports of Madrid, Barcelona and Ibiza.
