A man of about 60 years of age and of French nationality died this Sunday, January 1, after being hit by a vehicle in Playa Blanca. The accident took place at around 06.20 hours in the marina of the tourist town, at which time the CECOES was alerted.
Two ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service, one medicalised and one basic life support, agents of the Local Police, Civil Guard and the Security and Emergency Consortium, have moved to the scene.
The firefighters of the Consortium were in charge of extracting the affected person from under the vehicle. Subsequently, the sanitary personnel assessed the affected person and confirmed his death as he presented injuries incompatible with life.
The Local Police and Civil Guard have been in charge of guarding the body until the arrival of the corresponding authority.
