National Police agents have arrested a 36-year-old man in Arrecife, with numerous police records, as the alleged perpetrator of three theft offenses. He manipulated the anti-theft systems of three bicycles, which had been chained by their respective owners in areas designated for parking on public roads, and stole them, according to the police force.
The events unfolded following a report from a man stating that he had gone to the marina of the capital of Lanzarote, where he had left his bicycle chained in an area designated for parking. Upon returning to the place, the complainant realized that it had been stolen. A few days later, two other complaints were received at the Citizen Assistance and Complaint Office (ODAC) of Arrecife with similar events and in the same location.
The police investigations made it possible to "unequivocally" identify a 36-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of the three thefts, who allegedly manipulated the anti-theft systems and stole the three bicycles. After being located in the capital of Lanzarote, the man was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of three theft offenses. After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
