National Police agents have arrested a 32-year-old man of Dominican nationality, with no criminal record, in the municipality of Arrecife as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of damage to nine vehicles.
The events were triggered by a citizen's call to the 091 telephone number, reporting that there was an individual at that moment hitting several cars that were parked on public roads.
The police officers who went to the scene interviewed a witness who had witnessed the events, who provided the physical description of the alleged perpetrator and his location, and he was later located in the vicinity as an individual who matched the characteristics provided.
The police officers were able to verify that there were a total of nine cars which had various damages both in the rear-view mirrors and in the sheet metal of the same.
For all these reasons, the police officers proceeded to arrest him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of damage. Subsequently, the agents proceeded to locate the owners of the vehicles involved.
The corresponding police report was prepared and sent to the competent Judicial Authority.
The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station.
