Firefighters rescued a kitesurfer in distress on Las Cucharas beach in Costa Teguise on Monday afternoon.
Around 7:16 p.m., Cecoes received a call alerting them to the athlete's situation.
The kitesurfer was about 200 meters from the coast. The firefighters with the jet ski approached the place and transferred him aboard it to the shore.
The athlete was in perfect condition, so medical assistance was not necessary.
