A 33-year-old tourist of English nationality was arrested in the early hours of Saturday to Sunday after causing an altercation in a bar in Puerto del Carmen. In addition, the young man violently resisted his arrest and ended up injuring three agents and breaking the glass of the vehicle in which he was to be transferred.
Later, at the barracks, he also broke the door of the cell and ended up being transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital, where this Monday he remained in the psychiatry area, according to sources close to the investigation confirmed to La Voz.
The events began in the bar of a shopping center in Puerto del Carmen, from where it was reported that a person was seriously disturbing public order. Initially, agents of the Local Police went to the scene, who later also called the Civil Guard.
Finally, the officers of both corps were able to carry out the arrest, although three agents of the Local Police and one of the Civil Guard suffered minor injuries.
