The Civil Guard of the Fiscal Detachment of the Lanzarote Airport arrested on December 4 a 46-year-old person, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health by trying to introduce into Lanzarote 20 kilos of heroin hidden in his luggage. According to reports from the Benemérita, the intervention was the result of the actions carried out by the Civil Guard at the César Manrique-Lanzarote airport aimed at prevention in fiscal and criminal matters. Randomly and raising their suspicions due to the concern shown before the presence of the agents, together with other indications observed by them, they proceeded to carry out a routine inspection.

Inspected the content and performed the drug test of the four packages tested positive for opiates, so immediately proceeded to the seizure of the merchandise and the arrest of the passenger for the alleged authorship of a crime against public health.
