The Emergency Consortium had to intervene this Tuesday due to the fall of a stone from a building on the maritime avenue of Arrecife.
The incident took place at 1:06 p.m. on Rafael González street in the capital of Lanzarote, at which time they were alertedby a resident of the area.
Once on the scene, the firefighters verified that the stone that had fallen did not belong to the building, however, they checked the condition of the same balcony by balcony and verified that the facade was in poor condition, so they fenced it off for the safety of pedestrians.
Local Police officers have also moved to the scene. The incident has caused a major traffic jam on the road.
