Around one in the afternoon, the EMERLAN personnel received an emergency call, warning that a boat was adrift in Puerto del Carmen, specifically two miles from the coast, in front of the Hotel San Antonio. Apparently, the four crew members of the boat were fishing when they suffered a mechanical failure in the boat's engine, which caused it to drift.
EMERLAN sent a boat to the scene, based in Puerto del Carmen, which carried out the towing to the dock of the same town. The four rescued crew members have not suffered any damage.
