Emerlan was this weekend at the Transvulcania sports event to participate in the security operation, which brought together more than 3,000 participants this year.
In total, the team was made up of height rescue technicians, healthcare personnel (TES) and a nurse, actively collaborating with the various emergency services.
During Saturday's Ultramarathon, the team carried out three rescue interventions, all of them in especially adverse conditions due to the intense rain and fog that marked this edition. The assigned point was located at 2,000 meters of altitude, and many of the rescue teams had to set up shelters to protect themselves from the cold and rain, in addition to using them to provide assistance to the runners.
Likewise, EMERLAN also intervened on Thursday during the Vertical, adding up to a total of four performances throughout the event.
The volunteers highlight the "excellent coordination and dedication of all the intervening teams, with special recognition to the colleagues of Ayuda en Emergencias Anaga".
