Four containers were engulfed in flames early this Saturday in Arrecife, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The fire took place around two in the morning on Julio Cortázar street in the capital's Argana Alta neighborhood. Once alerted by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES), firefighters and agents of the Local Police were transferred to the scene.
When the emergency teams arrived, the organic waste collection containers were completely burning. The firefighters extinguished the fire, applying water and foam while removing the contents of the containers to ensure complete extinction.
For their part, the agents of the Local Police guaranteed security in the area.
