Two thieves tried to rob Oswaldo Machín's atelier in San Bartolomé in the early hours of this Sunday.
According to what the designer told La Voz, the events occurred around 02.30 hours "when my sister, who is a neighbor of the store, woke up from the noise and went out to shout at them, managing to make them flee in the car." Machín explains that the thieves first tried to open the door with a crowbar and, when they failed, they knocked it down, probably with a hammer blow.
"They quickly went to the counter, threw the computer and all the shelves next to it and fortunately my sister's quick intervention meant that they couldn't take anything," adds Oswaldo, who is in Madrid presenting his new collection.
Finally, as a result of this episode, the designer from Lanzarote criticizes that "there are no civil guards in the municipality at night and it is at the expense of the agents from the barracks of Tías or Costa Teguise"
