The Local Police arrested a 42-year-old man while capturing 11 kilos of octopus in Arrecife. The events occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, September 26, at around 5:00 p.m., when agents were alerted to the performance of a prohibited fishing activity in the vicinity of the Castillo de San Gabriel.
The agents of the Citizen Attention Operational Group (GOAC) arrived at the scene and observed that the individual had fished 11 kilos of octopus. In addition, he lacked the corresponding authorization to carry out fishing activity.
During the identification of the subject and after reviewing his data in the police databases, the agents detected that he had an arrest warrant from the Civil Guard for several robberies with force.
