The Local Police of Yaiza arrested this Saturday a 33-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. The events took place around 00:30 in the morning on Limones street in Playa Blanca.
A couple of officers patrolling the area detected "suspicious movements" of two individuals. According to the City Council in a statement, the agents were able to see how these two people exchanged "a piece of brown resin, possibly hashish, in exchange for 20 euros."
At that moment, the police proceeded to identify them. After searching the man who was keeping the money and was about to hand over the resin, the agents found 280 euros in bills of different denominations and several coins in his wallet. The Local Police carried out the first proceedings and the detainee was brought to justice.
