A British man was arrested this Tuesday when he tried to steal a watch from the Santos jewelry store in Costa Teguise.
The events occurred on the afternoon of this Tuesday, December 20, when a man entered the establishment asking for a watch valued at more than 8,000 euros, and when the clerk showed it to him, he grabbed it and ran away.
The clerk went after him and an off-duty police officer who was in the area noticed the situation and went in search of him, joined by a couple of agents and even the head of the Teguise Local Police who managed to subdue him.
The detainee was taken to the Costa Teguise Civil Guard barracks and will be brought to justice later today.
